Actually I never owned an Apple Computer before. It will be my first. Having said that I used to edit on a Mac Based Avid Media Composer and if truth be told I have been using FCPX since it first launched (not professionally) . I used to use my friends Mac Pro and FCS and FCPX from time to time. I have moved since then and no longer have access to the Mac so I had to buy a Mac Mini. I am sure I will have a feature request after I start using FCPX for a while.

Didn’t Premiere Pro do that since CS 5.0? Is the video below kind of what you want? Adobe Story has some cool metadata features as well.

What exactly are you expecting from Apple? Other than a trackless editing paradigm how did Apple think big or creative? Fast Multimedia’s/Pinnacle Liquid Edition gave us background rendering and GPU acceleration which was innovative at the time (also impressive at the Apple FCPX Keynote) but it did not stop the Liquid Edition users from making feature requests.

If you don’t find other people’s request all that impressive could you please list the transformational features that impress you about FCPX?

Don’t worry about what can or cannot be done. Just simply list something you would like to see added.

Like the awesome 3-D titling tool of FCPX?

Perhaps what you see as Apple Magic I would consider a simple sleight of hand trick.

I think perhaps you used FCP and then moved to FCPX and never tried any other NLE. As long as FCP improves here and there you see it as the greatest thing since sliced bread. As I stated earlier I don’t consider 3-D titles Magic. To me it is nothing more than a simple sleight of hand trick that would only impress those who are not in on the trick.

I wish you could have waited 4-5 weeks to do another FCPX feature request. I have a brand new Mac Mini but I have not had time to download FCPX. I think I will download it this weekend.

I always say FCPX did not invented metadata. I did a video about this feature back in 2014. I did it to state that Premiere Pro does not have a Timeline Index like FCPX but you can find titles, video clips, audio clips and images in the timeline real easy. I also made a feature request for Adobe abut this feature since it is not 100% perfect as is. Having said that BMD added my marker request for Premiere Pro to DR.

I have let Adobe know I like the old titling tool better than the new one. If we all let them know that I can only hope Adobe continues to keep the old titling tool and allow integration with the new titling tool. I am not saying the new titling tools is horrible but what we had already was awesome. I had to prove to the haters that the titling tool in Premiere Pro can do a lot. The new titling tool is limited but the haters praised it. Go figure?

I liked the old titling tool and feel as though the latest Premiere Pro updates were horrible. As usual I found more bugs with the latest update.

Presenter Creator Pro as centralized CMSYou would be best of contacting the manufacturer. Their website stated the above equipment is what was used. Having said that Matrox has video cards and software that can do really cool display type work.

I was hired to operate cameras and the one subject was a black male and the other subject was a white female. Just like yourself they were in front of a white board. I told the guy in charge I cannot get the black guy’s face with detail without the white board being way over exposed. The guy in charge of the shoot had us draw on the white board to get ride of the over exposure. It helped a little. The bottom line is we had to re-shoot the entire thing. If you are dark complected don’t use a white board as a back drop. That is why they have grey backdrops. Having said that I don’t think it is terrible. One of the color corrections filters should be able to clamp down on the white highlights some what.
