There are some great “broadcast spec” monitors out there now. LCD technology is starting to play catch up with CRT specs. They are nearly there. Not 100% yet but very close. We use the Sony BVM-L230’s, but at £16K they are out of most peoples reach. The TV Logic XVM-245W is also very good, although we don’t use these at present, coming in at £12K. This is an ever developing market and I’m sure the prices will drop accordingly as the technology advances.

We are currently running all 8 of our FCP suites with the 2 x Samsung 223BW’s in dual head configuration. These are very close to the 225’s you’ve listed, and to be honest we are really happy with them. So I can recommend the Samsungs. It is down to personal choice but the editors are pleased with them.
