We keep getting the same error – which Adobe site forums indicate are fairly common as they have entire three step process to eliminate them (the one that works seems to be uninstalling and re-installing everything) but it keeps cropping up – we use the app to update — and get a hit or miss result – some fail some don’t….frustrating when this seems to be the only way to update

Kevin – follow up – I brought all the files into Prelude – transcoded to Pro Res – reconnected in Premiere and used Project Manager – that worked.
Is Premiere Pro incapable of project managing long GOP files including XDCAM and XDCAM EX…what about DVCPRO HD (haven’t tried that yet)
Also by all accounts – the creative cloud app is a mess – getting lots of failed updates and am now afraid to update critical files (premiere and after effects) having read nightmare stories of messing with the program and then getting locked out of using the apps altogether… any resources to fix thise issues?

Kevin having the same problem even trying to move files with Project manager — not consolidating and triming – this is with XDCAM EX footage on Premiere Pro CC Timeline — is this just impossible with anything but pro-res..if so this is problem as the big plus is not having to transcode to edit, but having no way to consolidate and archive the problem without going back and transcoding and relinking everything later…

Bill, as you are an avid reader of my posts, you’ll certainly know that I have used X…and desperately want it to be more useful for the small edit world I live in that isn’t relevant to your work. My last line was – “come on Apple, fix this” so we can get rid of the “or not” part of this forum. Does that sound like a basher? I want to be able to do the work ..and have to do the kind of work that Oliver outlined he can’t do efficiently (or at all) with just X.

tried it – didn’t work
on timline – a wipe transition —
I select the transition (there’s no control click copy – you have to go to edit menu and copy)
go to new transition point (that track IS SELECTED AS WELL AS TARGETED)
Put cursor on transition point – it selects – go to paste – only option is PASTE INSERT – and it just inserts last viewer clip
What am i doing wrong?

Why do you need to denigrate other opinions to feel good about your choosing FCP X — my note said not a single disparaging remark about X….yet instead of acknowledging that someone might have a different opinion…you chose to shoot it down.
Enjoy your NLE….have fun skating to your puck…..some of us simply need to hit the puck that’s in front of us.

As for crashing, we’ve experienced very few if any – and they are always related to an add on plug in…..
and have you tried their new multicam in this version? It is much improved and I think will sync on sound
the Bad?
a few minor things — one I’d like them to fix is being able to cut and paste transitions…this doesn’t seem possible now
