Here’s another way

If you are using them a lot within the project, this is a quick win.

Creat a new sequence name it flash.

In the new sequence make a white matte about 12 frames long,
after 6 frames insert an opacity keyrame,and drop the opacity down to the end at 12 frames.( this will give you a nice drop off).

Add a ‘camera click & motorwind’ sound effect.

You can then drop the flash sequence into your edit wherever its needed.
