I use a shareware utility called “USB Overdrive”. You can set the mouse’s scroll button to execute command+ (zoom in) when you scroll up, and command- (zoom out) when you scroll down. It’s a great little app, I missed the easy zoom in and out function when I switched from avid too!

Go to versiontracker.com and search for “USB Overdrive”

Actually I’m referring to the aquisition of the footage. The show I am editing has not been shot yet. It is a one-hour program with a multicam shoot. They will be recording to either the 1700 or the 1200A. They need a tape that can record at least 60 minutes in HD, and I need it to be the size tape that can fit in the 1200A! According to Panasonic’s website, the AJ-HP64EL, which will fit in the 1200A, can record 64 minutes in DVCPRO HD-LP or 32 minutes in DVCPRO HD. I have read in a few places that the quality is the same either way, but that doesn’t make sense to me, so I wanted to check with the experts here!!
