Hi!
Yes i was able to fix this problem with the 11.2 update (for After Effects CS6). It was an after effects bug that was fixed with the 11.2 update for AECS6, available for download in the adobe site. In AE CC the problem is also corrected.
I think the best solution for you is really to update your AE version 😉Best,

Yes that’s what i did. Apparently it is a CS6 bug, and it is already adressed to the next patch, what means that i’ll have to wait for the next patch for CS6

The thing is, by having the “preserve RGB” checkbox checked, am i still working over the raw data? It’s the only way tha footage looks exactly the same like in red cine.
And thanks for the link, that video actually showed me the real power of working over the raw footage, however i found the “more options” window to be a little limited, because it works like an outside application of AE, i mean, i can’t for example do a mask in certain part of the shot and work the color temperature only there, do you know what i mean?

That was it, i was running the trial version –‘
I just checked the adobe infos and it says that in trial version HD is not supported. Guess i should have read it first –‘Thank you all for your help 😉

The files are from a Sony XDCAM. In cs4 i use to import them normally without problems, in cs5 it seems like they are just an audio file

Sorry not to say it, but i’m working with CS4, not CS3. I didn’t tryed to use those plugins neither in encore neither in premiere, and my issue was is after effects, but since the error was the same as referred in that page, i tryed the same solution and it worked.

Thank you for your help, but i ended up solving the problem in the adobe foruns. It seems it really was a incompability problem between the two plugin packs. I had to alter some Environment Variables in the Windows settings. This page explains exactly how to do that, and it solves the problem immediatly:
