    Thanks for the info Nate. I’m going to see if we can’t stretch the budget to accommodate your solution, as it seems like a great fit for us!
    For my own info (and pardon my ignorance), does the latency issue lie with the mac mini connections, the switch, or a combo?

    We did finally find a solution, for any interested. When setting up a new project, in the “New Sequence” window change the editing mode to “custom”. This gives you access to the “Preview File Format” under “Video Previews” at the bottom of the window. Changing this to “Quicktime Desktop” and selecting ProRes 422 as the Codec fixed our multicam lag issue, as well as some other multi-display problems we had encountered.

    So converting the Xdcam EX footage to Pro-res seems to fix a lot of the glitching, which would seem to confirm it being a codec issue. However, I was under the impression that Premiere worked pretty well with the Xdcam family of codecs. Am I wrong, or is there some workflow that I am simply not privy to?
