Any chance it’d need to be a card smaller than 512MB?
I’m hesitant to say it’s hardware because the camera sees the card. When the card is inserted I can perform card “Operations” on it through the menu, but when I remove the card, it’s grayed out as I would expect it to be.

I’ve since tried a 1GB and a 512MB card, both without any luck. I’ve formatted these cards on my Mac as FAT32 before trying them in the HVX. They read, but will not format. The other HVX reads and formats them.

It is indeed an SD card. It’s 1GB, so I’ll try looking around for a smaller capacity card.

Right.
It makes sense that “None” is uncompressed, I was confusing it with the “Video” codec in FCP.

Nice. I saw that yesterday, but thought it was the equivalent of selecting “None” in FCP when outputting with QT conversion.

Now that I look again on the Click Effects site, it looks like an Uncompressed AVI is preferrred, and AVI is the only accepted format.
What I didn’t realize is that AE on PC allows you to output an AVI (“Video for Windows”), while it’s not even an option for AE on a Mac. Since this project relies heavily on AE plugins, I’ll render out a QT Animation from AE on the Mac and use AE on the PC to transcode to Uncompressed AVI.

I’ve knew MAtrox was into hardware, but didn’t know of any proprietary codecs they have.
We’ve never had a need or a request for a file encoded with one until now. Perhaps it’s just something that’s more prevalent in event video vs. broadcast.

Any chance you know if it’s PC and Mac compatible? Able to integrate with Sorenson Squeeze or Compressor?
