The link you provide wants to install some sort of “video player”, which my anti-virus software says is UNSAFE. For that reason, unable to see what you are trying to accomplish. Not sure what you mean by “… but any way for linear one”. The PUSH video effect would do what I think you are trying to accomplish. Did you try it at all? In the video effect dialog box, if you select the Push off previous image checkbox, the original picture will be “pushed” off the screen by the new incoming image (with a line between the two that you can control the color and width of). If you don’t select the Push off previous image checkbox, the original picture will “slide over” the existing picture. See the screen shot of the wipe in progress below.

In Vegas Pro V10, go to the Transitions tab and select Push In Right, Yellow Border. Once you’ve put this transition onto the two events, you can change the color of the border. You can also control which direction the “wipe” moves, how thick the line is and whether it’s sharply defined or has the edge feathered.

August 27, 2015 at 8:12 pm in reply to: Ticker tape text disappearing underneath a static word on the leftIf you look at the (2) Track3 events, you will see that each (of the two) is intended to be a line from your poem. I believe I had set each line to scroll across in 5 seconds – it seemed easy to read in that amount of time. If that is not OK, then you would just need to modify the length (event time) of each of the succeeding lines of the poem. As an example, if the next line is roughly twice as long as the first two, it should probably be visible for roughly twice as long (10 seconds), or if it’s half as long as the first two, then shorten the event duration to 2.5 seconds.
If you lengthen the event holding a line of poem text, don’t forget to go in and move the last keyframe from where it is, to the end of the event (i.e. you want the “camera” to pan across the line of text during the entire amount of time the event is on screen).
Also keep in mind, that as you add additional lines of poem text events to Track3, then you will also need to lengthen the time of the Track1 (Pursuit text event), the Track2 (Background Mask event), and the Track4 (Background event) so they are visible during the entire duration of the poem.
If you want to “up your game” a little more, you could add another track (right below Track3) and put additional poem text there. By staggering the timing between the poem text in Track 3 and the (new) Track4, you could have the next line of the poem starting to come across the screen while the previous line is just disappearing from the screen.

August 27, 2015 at 3:44 pm in reply to: Ticker tape text disappearing underneath a static word on the leftI don’t know what your experience level is, but I was able to create what you’re talking about using 4 video tracks:
Track1: Generated Media of the word “Pursuit” located in the lower left corner (allowing for the title-safe area)
Track2: Is a copy of the Track4 Generated Media background, but has been turned into a Mask that creates a vertical strip just wider than the word “Pursuit”. It has been set to Path|Feather Type|Out at 6%. This will provide the “cover” for your moving text to “duck under” the word Pursuit. The feather will give the illusion that your moving words are “disappearing” as they approach the word Pursuit.
Track3: This is the Generated Media text of “What do I care that the stream is trampled”. If you set a keyframe at the start with the Pan set so it is just to the left of the word “What…” and then set another keyframe seconds later (the amount of time you want the text to scroll across the screen), say 5 seconds, then set the Pan to be just to the right of the last word, “…trampled”.
Track4: I used a Generated Media, Color Gradient, Soft Blue Background. Here is a copy of what my Vegas Pro 10 desktop looks like:

Here is a copy of what the Track2 Masked Background looks like (by itself):

Here is a picture of what the Track 2 Pan/Crop Mask setup looks like:

August 6, 2015 at 5:22 pm in reply to: Multi Shoot – Time lapse (GoPro Hero Silver)I’m in the US and am unfamiliar with the settings you would use for the PAL video standard (I use NTSC). Someone else on the forum should be able to help you from one of the PAL countries.
Also, if you look at your File|Properties… Video tab, the settings you “normally” use should be displayed there. I would start with those same settings. The other thing you could do would be to start a new project, add a video event to your timeline, and when it asks you if you want to use the video properties of the video just added, say Yes, then go back to the File|Properties… Video tab, and see what those settings are and apply those same settings to the JPG picture sequence when you Import it.

Thanks for updating the forum on your findings. My guess is that as more and more people upgrade to Win10, some could run into the same type issue.

August 5, 2015 at 3:16 pm in reply to: Multi Shoot – Time lapse (GoPro Hero Silver)If you’re trying to create a time-lapse video from the JPG stills, in Vegas (I’ve got V10 Pro here at work), select File|Import|Media… and a dialog box will open. Navigate to the folder where your JPG pictures from the GoPro are stored. Left-click the first JPG file in the sequence. When you do, if the picture files are consecutively file named (i.e. filename001, filename002, filename003, etc.), then at the bottom of the dialog box will appear an (unchecked) checkbox Open still image sequence range 1 – nnn, where nnn is the last number in the picture sequence. It should automatically find the entire sequence (your 600 pictures). Click the checkbox to select it, then press the Open button in the dialog box. A second dialog box will open and the field Tape name: will be waiting for you to enter a name for you new video event. You can enter a name (or not), then press the OK button. A new media event will be added to your Project Media tab. You can then drag the event and put it onto your timeline like any other video event and edit, compress, stretch, etc. the video to your liking.

I think you have a choice of (at least) two ways to go:
1) Move each of your events to the left to close the gaps on your timeline, or;
2) Grab the right edge of each event while holding down the CTRL key. Now “stretch” the event to the right until it touches the next event on the track. This will lengthen the video without looping it. It will also have the effect of slowing down the video.Andrew Lenczycki

Very basic, but do you have your File|Properties Video tab|Full-resolution rentering quality set to BEST?

June 17, 2015 at 10:14 pm in reply to: Another question: to sublip, or NOT to subclip. That is the question. As an aside, I was having lots of troubles with a Veg file with lots of media. Variety of issues, including files on the timeline becoming “invisible” one time, OK the next. Reading thru the forums, someone was having very random things happening with their files and they turned off GPU Rendering option. I tried this and haven’t had a SINGLE problem since then (and have worked on literally 30 + different veg files).
To answer your question, if it were me (and I’m NOT an expert), I would start a new project, and add half of your media to the project. Save, close the file and see if it reopens OK. If so, do the same with the 2nd half of your files, add them to the same new project, save, close the file and see if it reopens. If it has the “hanging” problem, then it must be one of the files in the 2nd half. I would then start a NEW project and add in 1/2 of the files from the previous (that was the problem group). Save, close the file and see if it reopens. If it does, add in the 2nd half of the files from the “bad” half, save, then see if you can reopen the veg file. What you’re trying to do is find the “problem” media file (assuming that’s the issue) as quickly as possible.
