I was having the same problem, and no to my knowledge there is no way of making Quicktime store it’s temp multipass file anywhere other than the local temp folder on your boot drive.

Then it occurred to me that you can just change where your operating stores it’s temp files. I set my OS to store temp files on my RAID and now problem is solved 😉

Same problem here. Boot drive doesn’t have enough room for the 1 hour clip i need to convert to h.264 using multipass.

I was surprised there isn’t a setting to change this in Quicktime. Apple products are usually so easy to get under the hood on
