    Hello everyone,

Im currently trying to compress a movie in h.264 that is around 9gb in size. My problem comes from compressor and the ICMMultiPassStorage file. It becomes so huge that my startup disk has no space, thus, failing the project. Is there any way to move the location of this file?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Did you ever get an answer for this? I’m having the same issue.

Same problem here. Boot drive doesn’t have enough room for the 1 hour clip i need to convert to h.264 using multipass.

I was surprised there isn’t a setting to change this in Quicktime. Apple products are usually so easy to get under the hood on

I was having the same problem, and no to my knowledge there is no way of making Quicktime store it’s temp multipass file anywhere other than the local temp folder on your boot drive.

Then it occurred to me that you can just change where your operating stores it’s temp files. I set my OS to store temp files on my RAID and now problem is solved 😉

See here on instructions on changing the location of your temp files:
