Yes you can transport HD SDI over IP , using HD high definition encoder with the HD-SDI input and IP output , HD decoder have IP Ethernet input and different video outputs HD-SDI is one of them , but also HDMI , component ,composite video , It is nice solution too because you do not need gigabit Ethernet ,we are using Thor HD video is encoded as a 15Mbps TS , Video quality is amassing https://thorbroadcast.com/sklep-207

we have new unit witch will take multiple ASI to fiber .
We can support up to 16 individual DVB-ASI and transport from place to place over the fiber , same unit support also SD-SDI https://thorbroadcast.com/sklep-202 .when the fiber is not available It is also possible to to send ASI over IP network or DS3 line or T1 line .
