    Hi,
    is it possible to transmit HD-SDI signal on Gigabit cables(ethernet..).Using Fibre is costlier..any suggestion..

    Yes you can transport HD SDI over IP , using HD high definition encoder with the HD-SDI input and IP output , HD decoder have IP Ethernet input and different video outputs  HD-SDI is one of them , but also HDMI , component ,composite video , It is nice solution too because you do not need gigabit Ethernet ,we are using Thor HD video is encoded as a 15Mbps TS , Video quality is amassing https://thorbroadcast.com/sklep-207
