    that is correct. the tiffs are converted to jpg’s and then used to make the slideshow which was output as a video file.

    Yes, i stated above that i realised in the wrong section.

    The Renders are supplied as hi-res Tiffs. we have used this renders (they are effectively pictures as are photo real) in the glossy brochures.

    I realised that i posted this in the FCP section. I am using a different program to generate the video file slideshow so there is not timeline to mention.

    There is no pro-res setting in this program.

    i had made all the pics 72 dpi and 1980×1020 before importing.

    Hi,
    I have discovered that the issue was with the Blu-ray player. it was not seeing hi-def. now another question. I have made the slideshow from stills. Made them all 1920×1080 pixels – so all images the same. it is made up of real photos and architectural renders. Again, all the same size.
    Weird thing is, the renders, especially on the diagonal angles appear semi bitmapped where the photos, all look great.

    you dont happen to know bout Toast Pro then do you?
    I even did a test with a movie burnt with mpeg 4 avc but still not great (420i) it said on the display.
