Just saw the post by chance. In TitleExchange there a menu item “Help” which allows you to send me an email and then describe the problem.
TiteExchange does not handle graphics (at least not yet).

Just to keep the info on this thread up to date.

I got the XMLs from Kevin, they are really messed.
So a good idea for anybody who thinks about using HDLog would be to duplicate the CLIP folder on your card folder before using HDLog. This won’t destroy the card structure.

As said, I uploaded the old ‘quick hack’. It will work on 10.4.x and on 10.5.x. NOT on 10.6.x
Here a short ‘how to…’
After you read CAREFULLY the the start up message and agreed, you’ll see an empty window like below.

Then use the ‘Load P2’ button and select one or more cards.
The window may look like below.

The XML TCs will be converted to frames.

Then press the ‘Process and Save P2’. The application will search for XML clips which are continuous – it doesn’t look into the MXF structure!
You will get a screen like below.

That’s it.

I just put the ‘quick hack’ app on my web site. It’s NOT compatible with Snow Leopard.
You can load any amount of cards, the TC will be converted to frames. If any clip out frame matches the next clip in frame (+1) it will be regarded as as spanned clip.
This — even though that’s not good — will rewrite the P2 XML of your copied cards. It could merge merge clips, where you just pressed ‘Stop’, ‘Record’ within a fraction of a second.

Jeremy just send me a note about this thread.

It’s true that using some versions of the Imagine products will destroy the spanned clip info – even without editing metadata – as they do a re-write of the metadata, instead of appending metadata.
So it’s not the fault of the producer.

I’ve written a small ‘quick hack’ app for Jeremy which allows to re-construct the XML files which are ‘edited’ by the Imagine files.
We (means MXF4mac and Spherico) will post it soon as a free app on our websites. In the mean time you can contact me off list.

You figured out what several people experienced with FCS3 – the cool feature to have invisible markers 🙂
Stay with colors Apple does supply. The markers though should be visible in the browser.

Hi Chris,

You may try my free TCR Plus. It’s not an easy one step filter as there is no option within FCP to retrieve clip names or any other thing beside TC and Reel, but you can copy the clip name to the filter. There is an app which comes along with the filter which allows you to batch insert whatever you want from the basic comments, description etc. using XML, but that app is not free.
