But when i spoke to people at overclock.net, they say that gpu support only will help the preview video to be enhanced, and not the rendering performance itself.

But Windows movie maker on the other hand seems to be able to use gpu support very vell. Render twice as fast as Vegas.

Ok.

But why doesnt my i7-3770k with 4 cores and 8 threads render faster than my old i5-760?

And whats the point of gpu support aka OpenCL and cuda if it only give better quality of the preview video?

It went much faster with the dept of only 32 aka 8bit ^^

I saw it now, i have allways rendered at åixel format: 32bit floating point (full range) cause of a youtube video i saw once to have the best quality possible at smallest space taken in my videos since i record gameplay and render fraps videos for youtube, but no matter with my old i5.760 1gen cpu or my new i7-3770k cpu i would allways only have 6-10 fps.. And i dont know why i allways had that poor fps even with 80% cpu.

It doesnt support 600 series? And still they are at 40 and 60& on both gpu’s when i render wither with cuda or openCL woth no error messages at all like vegas pro 11 would?

Yes, i used to have vegas pro 11, and used to get 6-10 fps with the same render settings as i allways use with only cpu usage cause it did not support the gtx 600 series to render with.

Hey…

I just updated from sony vegas pro 9 to 10 to test the rumored gpu accelerated rendering, and as fas as i have experienced now is that sony vegas 10 is more slow than vegas 9, and the gpu rendering isnt much impressing.

I do in this moment render a full Hd video and the cpu is just at 60% of usage and gpu is only using 8% of the cuda engine, is that normal? or do i have the wrong settings?

cpu: intel core i5 quaad 760 2.8ghz @ 3.57
gpu: zotac gtx 460, core: 675mhz @ 830 aka cuda

With sony vegas i i used like 80-90% of cpu usage…
