Aaron, thank you for the tip.
Converted 30p AVI to images, then imported to Sony Vegas as a sequence…rendered 60p.
It’s worked like a charm

Why? Again, no reason to if you do your initial filming at 60P.

It just doesn’t have this option.
I would like to use 4.2.2 footage, which I can get with BM Intensity card. Camera HDMI output has 60p, but I can’t capture it with the card I have.

It seems to me 60p looks much cleaner than 30p.
For that videos I use turntable, which has variable speed option. So, I am thinking, why not to capture at 30 fps and then convert footage to 60, if that is just some software manipulation.

Sorry for confusing question.
I have 30fps footage…if I speed it up by 2 and then render at 30fps, I will loose each second frame.
Is that right?
Than, if I use all frames of accelerated (by 2) footage, I think, I will get 60fps.
…an example – 30fps 2 second long footage = 60fps 1 second footage…

Graham, Steve, thank you for your replies.

You are right, I’ve tried Vegas…not really hard, only once, and maybe just did not find right settings there. I gave a try Tiffen 4 point 2mm star filter as well and the result is not acceptable…and again, it may be better if I try it with different lighting setups.
But, what I can say definitely – both, optical filter and Vegas significantly degrade image/footage quality.
