How do I know if the vector is CMYK or RGB, and how do I convert them ?

how do i know if they are true vectors or that they contain placed raster artwork ?

You know, music like the ones used in commercials and such.
Not like the ones used for songs and for dancing ! -
are you sure the psd files are layers ?
also, try :
file > import > file> select the file and click on the drop down menu that says import as and select composition (retain layer size).
