This was very helpful to get me to start thinking out of the box. After fighting with the camera & sign placement for a while, I ended up being inspired to make make a ferris wheel of pre-comps for my signs and it seems to pretty much do what I want it to. Only part I’m not wild about is the slapped-on circle I am using as a ground.. 7493_testsigns.aep.zip

Try playing with the Trim Paths effect. You can add it by clicking the arrow next to “Add:” on your Shape Layer contents. Using that, you can keyframe your start and end points to be 0% complete to 100% complete and it will “draw” your shape. Is this what you are trying to accomplish?

The adjustment layer trick seemed to work swimmingly, as far as the preview goes. Thanks so much! Next stop, Render Queue.
