Just a thought, but when’s the last time you cleaned and defragged your computer?
Sometimes when things start running at slow speed, it may mean your drive needs a cleaning and defrag. “Start-my computer-properties, disk clean-up”
For defrag, I personal prefer ad use Perfect Disk.

[Alan Lacey] “Need to get up to speed quickly with Vegas.”
Books? Nothing’s better than Gary’s DVD’s. That’s the fastest way. Especially if you got another computer or laptop next to you. You can just follow along as he explains things.

I got my laptop set next to my editing computer and can follow Gary’s training as he does it and shows it. Now that’s Fast!

Ditto to what Ed says above. I find all my captured video is darker on my computer monitor than on my TV monitor or on your camera LCD screen.\
Where you ahve to be careful is how you are going to display the final video. If it’s for DVD and on TV’s you’ll definately need a external monitor because if you do any brightness / contrast adjustments based on your computer monitor, the ‘movie’ will be too bright on TV.
If you’re producing for computer showing (I produce multimedia CD’s for computer use only) then you may have to do some adjusting.
Don’t worry, it took me a while to finally understand this. Especially in the beginning I over corrected and boy was it ever lousy!

I use Epson R-200. Now it’s an R-210 I think. You can get the Epson printers for around $100 or less and they do a great job.
Make sure you use quality printable surface media though. Don’t get the “cheapies”.
I don’t label any disk anymore with paper. I print all my own directly.

If I remember correctly, with Track Motion you’d have to use a seperate track for each photo. But with Key framing, just reset your key frames for each photo.
In other words, do what your want for the first photo, then for the second photo insert a key frame at the beginning and set that to the original size or want you want. You have to right click each keyframe to set your setting for that key.

Yes the captured video always is darker on your computer monitor. It took me quite a while to figure that out and get used to it.
Like the two replies above, get a TV (NTSC or whatever you’r using) monitor. I’m using a 13″ sony Trinitron TV through my Canopus ADVC-100 box into the computer. Now a calibrated monitor but it works for me.
Most of my technical stuff is produced for computers only CD-ROM or DVD-ROM so then I have to set the colors and brightness for the computer monitor. My DVD’s for set-top playback, I use the TV monitor and NOT my computer screen.

Hi ty
Wow, long time since we’ve emailed. How are you?Anyway, no I need up to 6 mics plus outputs to cassette deck, audio out to my VX2000, already have Gary’s XLR adapter, and probably a VHS recorder.
I’m not sure what else until I take the CLVS class in March.
Will be looking to get some Lavs from Ginsburg plus a 4 line snake.

Hi Rob
Thanks much for the reply. However my mind was mae up for me a few hours ago. I won that Behringer MX2004A including a Hard case for $157. I thought for sure I’d be out bid at the last minute cause I wasn’t going to pay any more especially I can get new stuff for as little as $250.Oh well, I give it a good tryout here before taking it on the road. There’s always eBay then ha ha
Thanks again

Thankyou everyone. I didn’t think of DeShaker because I already had ArcSoft’s Stabilizer and it didn’t do too good with this one.
No, sorry, no speaker, no audience. I got a clip up so take a look and you’ll see what I mean.

I think I got the problem solved anyway. I had to change some stuff around but I had another clip I could substitute that I dind’t know I had before.
Thanks

Ditto to the above.
is the only place I’d buy from on the internet for cameras and the like.
I got some other places for audio stuff but never had any problems with B&H.
