We need somemore information. How long is the project? What did you render to in order to burn the DVD. I assume you’re using Vegas and DVD Architect?
Is this an HD or SD Project?

There’s also been numerous posts, some quite recently about encoding for You Tube, which can also be done directly in Vegas so you really don’t need anyhing else unless you need specialized encoding like for Flash.Vegas is a fantastic program that will do much more than many other NLE’s will do and much easier.
Search this forum for You Tube or Encoding for You Tube.

Mine works fine. It’s been a while but how did you install it? I don’t remember if you had a choice to install as a plugin or stand alone.Is the program installed on your system? Start-All Programs-Sony-Cinescore 1.0?

For what you mentioned, you might want to take a look at Digital Juice. Most of what you asked for is there, including their DJTV, videos with tips, tricks and instructions. Editor’s Took Kits, Swipes, JumpBacks, Overlays. The whole “ball-of-wax”
They’ve even got a Vegas forum there too on using the stuff.

I’m not sure but I don’t think XP will see the extra RAM. I think you need Vista but I could be wrong.
My suggestion is to also post this in the Apple Mac forums. I just bought a MacBook Pro but haven’t used BootCamp to install XP yet. I did get Final Cut Express to learn though. So I really don’t know about the Mac Pro except that I plan to get one to replace my current HP editing machine.
I do know those forums there are also great for help. Not sure now many here are using Macs with Xp/Vista installed.

uh, just a passing thought here but you also might want to look into the new Intel Based MAC’s. Either an iMAC or MAC Pro. Because they’re now Intel based, you can use BootCamp that comes with the OS and install XP or Vista and still have Vegas.
Personally I think they’re much better computers with a lot less problems. I recently bought a MacBook Pro Laptop and plan to do just that. XP and Vegas. When I upgrade my editing machine, that’s what I’m going to do. Best of both worlds.

If I understand you correctly, what you’ll need is something like the Canopus (now Grass Valley) ADVC 110 or 300 analog/digital converter box. I have the old ADVC100. It has Firewire – Composit and S-Vid both in and out. I use it for printing from the timeline directly to VHS tape (no more lately – VHS is all but dead) as well as powering my NTSC monitor. If you capture analog though you’ll have to do it manually. Only firewire has the camera control.
There’s a few other manufacturers making the converter box, I just prefer the Canopus one. Difference between the 110 and 300 is the 300 has a TBC but it costs close to $500.
Just Google Analog/digital converter and you’ll see what’s available.

I just recently got QT Pro on this machine so I could save tutorials from Apple for my new MacBook Pro. I didn’t rmember that I could also encode video.
I did and it came out great. QT Pro even created the HTML for embedding. Wild!
I still want to find out how to do it in Squeeze though! 😉

We recommend using Windows Media Encoder or Canopus ProCoderLooking at Squeeze, the default choice is MPEG4 audio. I wonder if that’s the AAC audio? Also the settings in Squeeze are confusing, being listed only as streams. ie; 112k_Stream, 1mbps, 256k, 384k_stream etc. There’s only 1 or 2 tht gives me the mono @ 22.5 option also.
Maybe I should just try QT Pro which I have? Ugh! I sure whish I could find another service. Ever since Amazon (CreatSpace.com) bought CustomFlix, the service doesn’t seem as personal as before. And now it’s email only. Custom Flix used to provide a suppoet phone number. And you wait forever for replies to emails!
