I tried to import from both hdd and SDHC card. but again the same error appeared … Unsupported compression type.

I had free trial cs5.5 then got full version. This is a new PC, there are no freeware codecs installed. Is there a way to verify presence of such codecs?

The footage works well with movie maker, Vegas and cs5 (different PC) but failed on cs5.5.

I tried to import through media browser but got the same failure error message. No, I have not altered the files.

Thanks Vince. Actually I have a new PC with the specs but can’t use it because cs5.5 premiere pro failed to import video clips using the PC. Error was “… Unsupported compression format”.

My Sony camcorder uses AVCHD .MTS format. Not sure if cs5.5 support this format. Any idea?

I’m importing from SDHC card. I also tried to import from hard drive and Sony’s Content Management SW. But all had the same error message “…. unsupported compression format”
