    Yes, letterbox will show… I know…

Just want the best possible convertion..

I think I will make a precomp at 720 by 480, and scale down the 2.5k into this resulting wth the letterbox…

So now I have my 720 by 480… this then will go into your suggested MEDIA ENCODER…

OK thanks, so the original is in 2.5 K in AE project file…

so you mean just render out as a Quicktime Mov with sound at full size and then put it in media encoder to convert?

Great thx, yes we shot RAW 2.5k

I saw the video and site of neat video.. very impressive. Will get version 10 but first i will compare Red Giant and Adobe raw reader.

Question I cant seem to find online: At what moment in editing post is best to do the DE-noising and sharpening? I havent got Davince working as yet so will use Bridge when importing into AE then use Synthetic aperture for color correction,

Should I use the denoise plugin at the end , before rendering out final or right after color correction and before giving the whole a color look.. or even before going into Synthetic apreture for color correction.

    Any tips will be great!

unfortunately DAVINCE DOESNT OPEN ON MY POWERCOMP yet, still have to look into that. But now I have an urgent TV spot I need to edit so have to
    use bridge for now.

But I solved my problem. As CS 5 bridge (which I was using) doesnt allow blacks to be retrieved I tried CS6 and BAMMMMM yep, blacks can also be retrieved.

    Any tips on workflow?

I normally make sure my whites are not clipping and the blacks are not clipping. This as I noticed that once they clip it can not be retrieved in AE. So basically thats all I do in bridge… and a bit clarity as well.

In AE I use Synthetic aperture for further work and the collorista 2.

Anny tips for the Bridge cs6 stage when importing into AE will be very welcome….

I found out I mostly need to bring the exposure down just a little for the highlights not to peak…. So bringing it up is not really an option.

Is there any other RAW editing program that does allow to retrieve peaking blacks?

Thank you, but I dont really understand your response. Sory about that.

I mean that I thought when u film and click rec again, it pauses, so if
you click again it will continue recording. This so afterwards you get everything in one file. If you press stop and the rec again you have the dngs in different files.

My problem is that I can not seem to pause (using the rec) it does pause but still creates a new file when i click rec to contimue.

Thank you, the article is very interesting.

What about 23.98 fps…. Is it better to film at 23,98 (instead of 24fps) if you plan to convert to 29.97 for NTSC TV?
