    Hey Joel,
It is not a courtroom but a large space with high ceilings, carpeted floors.

If all 9 people involved are going to talk a lot as opposed to maybe just the attorneys who move around,
do you think I would be better off using 9 wirless mics ?

Any problem with having all the mics set to the same channel and sent to my one receiver on my main camera ? As well as maybe having a line from the main sound board sent to the main cam as well.

Sorry never worked with boundary mics or a separate audio recorder.

    Thanks for your input…

Can you guys tell me how to set up my sequence settings for doing 16×9 ?
I am forgetting how as it has been so long.

I am using Final Cut Express.

    THanks,

    Thanks guys.

I see what you are saying that the job drives the decision but I have a lot of little corp gigs where it just wouldn’t make any difference. I get the impression it wouldn’t matter much although sometimes I think that some simple jobs wouldn’t like to see letter boxing simply because it is different.

I am going to start suggesting it as I think my cam’s pic is best at 16×9 from what I have read (more pixels ).

Alright guys thanks for the info…
B&H didn’t know the difference when they sold them to me…
the thermal require a special thermal printer as I understand your info.

But I have an inkjet regular ….

And I see the Primera makes no mention of being compatible with Mac….

    Dual layer is “dual difficult.”

    Thanks Matt.
So are there any non-thermal Dual Layer disks that are printable on an old inkjet printer? I can’t seem to find any
and need to do just a few.

    Thanks Bill,
    that is excellent advice.
When I finally sit down with them I am going to see how glued they are to the teleprompter idea. I know it could increase my editing time however if there are a lot of takes. If an attorney really knows the material they should be able to improvise a little and look natural.

Wow , that is a MacGyver approach Mark.
I am horrible at making things but I think I might try that for my own home sometime. So far I am in the beginning stages with this client (attorney firm) and will look into renting a teleprompter I think as that seems to be the best. Today we were supposed to meet and as I walk in the door the HR lady said a dire situation has come up so we did not meet.
No projector but I have an iphone and Mac Book Pro, wireless mic.

What controls the teleprompter scrolling of text ? Software on my laptop?
    never seen one in action.

    Thanks fellas
