Hi Annie…
using what’s native to Premiere….yeah your workflow will probably be a bit messy but doable…
not dynamic….but you can get it done….
Adobe does have a couple of different tiers of Adobe Anyhwere which sounds like it would be an ideal solution to your workflow….
Anywhere for Teams is designed for groups working together in house (which I guess is your scenario).
Anywhere allows global (yes world wide) workflows.
But essentially would give you the ability to “sync” work of collaborators and everybody work with the same project.
either one requires some config of a collboration hub (another workstation) to host a DB to track and enable the collboration.
Something to think about for the future of your group….

Not elegant…
but if you expose the video usage and audio usage columns in the project panel…
then you can sort those how you wish…
and delete just what you wish leaving the what you wish….
ALTERNATIVELY….
you could take the material in a KEEP FOR ARCHIVE sequence
then they will be “used” and not removed
when you run “remove unused” function…

as far as the number of clips and structure…..
if browsing from the desktop….
does the directory in question include the “lastclip.txt”
it’s easy enough to make if it’s not there
example:
0029LR
1.0
30name of last file
version (always 1.0)
total number of clips in the directorythat’s the only thing I can think that would throw it in a way that’s easily fixable….

Adobe comes standard with a GoPro Cineform codec which they demo’d a lot with 4K and higher resolutions.

The closest I think you can get is to save the effect as a preset and choose the “scale” option….
then reset and reapply affter the trim…
and the effect will be applied proportionally to the new length….
if I’m wrong….I’d be happy to know it. 🙂

hmmmmmm…..
weird…beacuse that technically uses a “headless” no GUI version PPro to do the rendering….
when it’s in AME….
if you open the encoding setup….
is AME using GPU?
toggle that and see if that helps…

there is a column in the project panel called “status”
so if you search “offline”
this should sift to material that’s disconnected…
