Hi…
yes, he can export each track as a AIFF or WAV
all trax should be from his time 0
so it’s easy line up for you….
if he is responsible for the final MIX?
why can’t he send you a 2 track stereo master of the final and call it a day?
and you have to add your nat sound to it…
you could always send him stems of your audio trax and he can add that to his mix for a rev’d master after you cut?

This might be a bit of a miscommunication….
the individual audio recordings would likely be done in as AIFF.
It is possible for him to export a combination of tracks from Pro Tools as an AAF. This is container file that would contains mutltirack edits….
should be able to open it in audition….
sounds like your pipeline needs a bit more definition….

March 1, 2016 at 4:56 pm in reply to: “record” video/stills into Premiere Pro in the same as recording audio?Hi Amy…
“Thinking more, by far, the easiest thing would be to add a brush tool to the Titler. :-)”
Yeah….except it’s not time indexed….so it still requires editing.
All your methods (which work for you)…actually effect the structure of the edit….and create additional assets in the bin…etc…
I get that markers aren’t the visual or tablet driven annotation you hoped for.
Have you considered something like frameio?
it’s got a pretty cool annotation setup and the whole thing is designed for collaboration….you could work from an tablet or a wacom…and from “wherever” you happen to be.
It sort of has you in mind.
hth….

click the wrench in the record viewer…
go to overlay settings
in one of the screen quadrant sections choose “markers” from the drop down list
then on the wrench menu enable “overlays”
you should end up with something like this

have you considered adding markers?
you set a keyboard shortcut…
you can color code them (say Red or maybe diff colors have dif fix meanings)
and you’ve got the markers panel to allow easy review and navigation?
won’t do drawn annotation tho…

You know Oliver….
It’s very validating to see this stuff.
I was an early adopter of PPro. Sure it wasn’t ready for this stuff back then.
But you know me….I was edit* when everyone was Avid. Always looking for the diamond in the rough.
I’m really, really glad Adobe is sticking with it and at the advances it has made.

Hey Duke…
On your first key pass, if you take a look at your matte and it’s good…
you may need to export with alpha….then grade on that…
not sure why adjusting the color post KEY would bring back the backing unless you were tweaking a filter upstream of the key….?
but I have seen some weirdness in Ppro from time to time is GPU is enabled and how it handles (or doesn’t) alpha channels.

February 23, 2016 at 9:48 pm in reply to: How to display multicam sequence after trimming in expand tracks mode?if you have 7 cameras
then you have to “FIND ALL” in the sequence for each one 7 differnt clip names…one per camera).
when you FIND ALL…it will select all items with that name in the sequence.
when they are highlighted….
you can drag them as a group to a different track…
