Searchable media database equivalent of Avid’s Interplay?
Hi, I’ve been hunting around for what Premiere editors would use as their Avid Interplay equivalent. If you have a large storage system full of media that you repeatedly re-use, what is the standard “database” for searching that storage by clips’ metadata? Does everyone use a third party solution? If so, which one?

How about Adobe Bridge? When I worked at a broadcast facility, I managed upwards of 300,000 broadcast assets, and was able to put my hands on project parts and pieces (video, audio, scripts, 3D assets, etc.) in a matter of moments. Here’s an article I wrote a few years ago about using Bridge:

I’m a freelancer now, and I still use Bridge to manage all of my assets, and I’m now managing animation projects, web design, photography, and video projects. It’s the best tool for the job, in my opinion.
