You really wouldn’t take a power point into PPro…
more than likely you’d take a folder full of images into Ppro…
then assemble them in order in a sequence.
you can add a music track…
and time the changes in visuals to the music…or they can be fixed durations…

there is a plug-in called beat edit that will do some automation based on the rhythm of the bed…

Automate to sequence in the project panel will give you some options in terms of
how long each slide should be…
overlaps
and transitions
so you can sort of get it to the approx length of a music bed…
from there…
you can nest the sequence vid track….
then use the Rate Stretch Tool to finesse the length overall to match the bed….

I’d have to speculate that since RED debayering is handled by the GPU when present….it would have to be helpful. I can’t offer an exact ROI however.

What are you dropping in AME?
Already rendered files or PPro/AE projects?
Projects would benefit as they use the same tech as the apps themselves when processing in AME.
Media files probably wouldn’t benefit all that much unless you are applying color correction (Lumetri) in the encoding process.
