I’ve read a few posts on this, but not sure the solution is readily evident to me.

I’ve a client who wants to be able to edit a project on his workstation off and on while I am editing the same project on mine. I suppose it’s the same issue if you wanted to edit the project back and forth from a laptop remotely and on a desktop.

    1. Can PP deal with the project file residing on the cloud (i.e. Dropbox) without issues (speed, etc.)? Or would it be advisable to copy the project over locally before using it?
    2. I realize to make that work, we’d have to move the media into identical directories, which is troublesome but doable. How far back in the root (i.e., the drive name?) would we have to make identical so as not to have to relink every time we open the project?
    3. Are there any other solutions anyone knows of?

It’d be a great feature to differentiate edit software if one of the leaders could make the project file cloud based but be able to recognize which system is using that file so you could have media footage (duplicated) on two systems but that are not identically filed. Remote editing (with a client or even internally) is becoming more and more the norm for us.

    Cheers!
