Would it be possible from Premeire to generate a sample edl that includes an audio edit so you could see how it was set up…
Then using a text editor, modify your original edl to match that spec?
hopefully you can find a text editor with some macro capabilities so you could automate it a bit.

Quick google yielded this:

the xl2 will allow you to actually use all four tracks! However capturing all the tracks requires a program like scenalyzer (an economical piece of software).
I have used the front stero mic and a wireless into the xlr input in the back. That actually gives you an extra track to deal with when you capture, hence use of scenalyzer live.
when you hook up your second mic to the xlr make certain you press the small audio button on the side of the camera to select the necessary tracks.

It has checkered support. Usually Low to medium tier. But currently with the release of CS5, they seem to be on a roll with more broadcasting groups picking it up (due to it’s native format support, low price of entry, and real time capabilities).
The world is such a mixed bag now. Everything seems to be used everywhere.
I’ve liked it since CS2…but then again I use both it and FCP routinely depending on where I’m working.

You should still be able to just do things thru AME…
there should be options to select all the audio channels in AME.

says
“Channels or Output Channels Specify how many audio channels are in the exported file. If you choose fewer channels than are in the master track of a sequence or project, Adobe Media Encoder downmixes the audio.”
Are you not seeing this or what options does it give you?

This is likely a job for After Effects and it’s masking and roto capabilities.
If its not terribly complex….I believe there are masks available in PPro as well, but you are limited in the number of points available.

technically….if it’s a PCIe card, sure it will be compatible with your station
The bigger issue is that, as far as PPro CS4 is concerned, it won’t change your performance at all.
PPro CS4 makes really next to no use of GPU technology. So it’s not money well spent.
CS5 has introduced the Mercury Playback engine that will make use of NVIDIA Cuda compatible GPU’s. You’ll have to check Adobe’s site for supported cards.
Other than than that….your system seems quite well configured.

Wish I had an answer for the audio.
Have you asked the question on Matrox’s forums at all?
or is there a 3rd party conversion tool that might support better control of the audio portion of the conversion?
