    Try the DV50 codec with all the other settings exactly the same. It will give twice the file size (7.2MB/s) but much much better quality.
    This is a 4:2:2 codec and is better for graphics, text and colour.
    It is being used a lot at the BBC at the moment to mix formats (DV and SD).
