Hi all, I’ve uploaded sample clips of the two shots I was hoping to clean up. I’m hoping the sample clips gives folks a better idea of the challenges.

    Clip 1: envelope shot.

I’m looking to replace the envelope that moves and falls under the woman’s arm with the envelope in the second shot. As mentioned, i’ve had challenges tracking the movement of the envelope under the arm, as it changes angles and folds.

    Clip 2: notepad shot

I’m looking to add numbers to the notepad in a realistic manner. Give that the notepad bends when written on, tracking is challenging. The first shot is the original (without numbers added). The second shot is my attempt to add the additional numbers and text on the pad (using AE built in tracker).

    Thanks for your advice!

Hi Graham, thanks for your reply. I’ve been trying to use Mocha but have been struggling still. I looked at your tutorial and others but my tracks don’t seem to be working. Any additional help/tips you can suggest.

I was able to add a TV glow effect using the strobe light effect, so happy about that.

    Thanks again!

  • Hi Pierre,

Thank you for your quick reply!

Do you have a field issue or a 3/2 pulldown issue (all frames have fields or just some)?
Answer: all frames have fields. Motion appears to stutter (frames appear to duplicate). I’d like to eliminate or greatly reduce this. I’m hoping that properly deinterlacing with Fieldskit can greatly help, but I’m unsure if I am doing it correctly within Premiere Pro 2017.

Select the clip in Project Bin, right-click mouse menu Modify-> Interpret Footage
Does it say Progressive or provides a Field Order?
    Answer: Fields are lower

Is the sequence settings progressive or with fields?
Answer: I’ve tried both. I don’t notice any difference when using Fieldskit in a sequence set to either/or

You can drop a clip to https://www.hightail.com/u/revisionfx
Answer: I’ve submitted a clip for your review. Hopefully it will help diagnose the issue better.

    Thanks again!
