Hi Everyone,
Here are two screen prints of track one and two. Originally track motion was ONLY set or changed in track two. Yet….no matter which track I clicked on…. it showed track two’s “x position” value. Then I changed track one to a totally different “x position” value than track two….. but again, once I set track two’s “x position” value… then click on track one, it shows the same value.
(I wish there was an event motion control rather than a track motion control).

Hi,
Good idea…..One thought was that I would like 3 layers.
1) Whatever is in front the driver/passenger in the front seat
2) The driver and passenger – which is what I will film with my camera
3) Whatever is behind the driver/passenger (front seat head rest – back seat – back windshield etc.)Maybe I’m dreaming…….

Hi,
First – thanks for the good suggestions…. I apologize but I’m in a bind here………OK…. I’m in China (living and teaching)– I don’t have a car here
– I don’t have nice tools like green screen (or a car to put the green screen in front of or behind or whatever)
also…….as I was thinking (that usually gets me into trouble) but a regular “head-on” picture of car almost always has glare from the windshield.I really was hoping somebody might know of or has seen the perfect still image that would give a movie that ‘sitting in the front seat’ feel to it. I thought about trying to make it or doctor it up in Photoshop (which I have, although I use Vegas for movie creation)
Thanks Again!!

Hi,
It worked!!!Thank You So Much!!

Hi Theo. Again – Thank You for your help. I DID apply the Multiply (Mask) mode to the Upper Layer…see the picture

Honestly…. I ‘think’ I have followed your instructions. It almost seems like I am getting the ‘reverse’ result or a ‘reverse’ mask.
Nothing should show through the picture…. except where the text is.

Hi,
Thank you so much for your help. Your suggested method did not work. If you’ll notice in your example… your text doesn’t cover the picture. In your example, the text is very small at the bottom, below the picture….so of course the picture shows (https://www.videomontagefaq.nl/index.php?action=artikel&cat=374226&id=413&artlang=nl) Thank you for your suggestion anyway.I have a picture that shows what I am looking for (the top picture), and the results I ended up with following your directions (the bottom picture).

A verbal description of what I want is this: I have text, a picture and a video. The letters of the text are very large and cover most of the screen - I want to mask the text such that the video shows through the text, but the video does NOT show through the picture. Any area outside the text is the picture. See the Example
Thanks!!

Sorry…. here’s a picture…. because words can’t say it correctly

-
Hi… Well a picture is worth a thousand words…and I guess my description of what I wanted was only 800 or so….
so I’ve uploaded a picture to show you what I want to do. I have seen this in movies and TV – usually in the title or intro.
Any Help Would Be Appreciated
