    Hi Anthony,

Are you receiving this error when you’re adding more than one After Effects light or more than one Invigorator Light? These are two separate items.

October 28, 2015 at 7:06 pm in reply to: Stand Alone Proanimator 8.6 camera poses are uneditable.

In case you’re having the same problem, Scott and I communicated through email and found this solution:

To start off this problem is related to opening up a project with a camera that was created with an older version of 3D ProAnimator. Scott’s camera poses were not able to be edited even when he had his time marker over the pose. What he did was saved each camera pose as a view by putting his time marker over the camera pose, going to the 3D Preview panel and under the “View” menu he selected “Save View…”. He repeated this process for each pose.

After Saving each camera position he deleted the camera track, added a new camera track and recreated the poses on the new track.

I hope this helps. If anyone has more problems with this issue please let me know.

    Cheers,

    Hi Cliff,

We’ve found that some user’s graphics cards are causing the issue. Inside of the setup window go to Help > Preferences…

Uncheck the item named “Use GL Shaders in Draft Mode”.

Also what are your system specs?

    Thanks,

September 24, 2015 at 7:25 pm in reply to: Material Names

    Hi Anthony,

I’m super sorry about that. It turns out tool tips for materials don’t work on Windows computers. We’re looking into a solution, but right now they don’t appear.

The other unfortunate part is that when 3D Flag v4 is released it will also only have tool tips for materials on Mac computers.

For now, the best way to look at the names of a material is to double click it in the material bin to load it into the material editor and look at the name there.

September 24, 2015 at 7:22 pm in reply to: Zexwerks PA Animator sluggish at best

    Hi Ray,

You say you are running v8 so the first thing we need to make sure is that you are using the most current version: 8.6. If not, you need to update. We put in a huge amount of work making the program run a whole lot faster and more stable since v8, and the best part is the update from v8 or v8.5 to v8.6 is FREE!

It is possible that this is Video Card related, but lets take this one step at a time.

Let me know if this fixes your problems.

    Hi Cliff,

I’m sorry to hear your getting crashes. We’ve had a couple users on windows machines that are running into the same issues. Are you also running a windows machine? We are currently working on a fix, but In order to find a solution quicker it would be helpful to get more information.

Please email me at support(at)zaxwerks.com with this info:
    1. Computer Specs
    2. If the program crashes please send me the crash logs:

    Windows Instructions

    9214_image002.png.zip

    4. Copy the text on the General tab.
    5. Open Notepad, paste the text, and then save the log as .txt.
    6. Or you can take a snapshot of the entire screen and save as a .jpg file.
Steps to take a screen shot:
    a) To take a screen shot, press the “Prt Scr” key on your keyboard when you encounter this error.
    b) Then go to Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint.

    Hi Patrick,

ProAnimator can import most EPS files, but we don’t guarantee that they work. We prefer that you save your file out as an Adobe Illustrator file(.ai) instead.

  • Hi Ray,

We haven’t updated the Photoshop plug-in with the intention of keeping it simple. Every version release will put in more features which in the end makes it more complicated for new users to learn.

If you want more features you can use the Standalone version that will render out images with an alpha channel that can be brought into Photoshop or any photo-editing program.

    Cheers,
