    Thanks so much Michael!!!!

Brilliant. 🙂 I changed them all to 720×480 and used letterbox while retaining the aspect ratio so I didn’t distort the clips. Now multiclip is working properly with RT in effect!

I really appreciate your guidance. ~Alex

I’m having the same exact problem…I feel like I’ve come so far, but I still can edit my project…and I might jump too… 🙁 ha
This was a new thread I posted just now, but I wanted to get on this one too because I’m having the same exact problem as Ryan
I’m using an iMac8,1, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.8 GHz processor, 2 GB Memory with FCP 7.0.2. I shot a live music performance with some VERY low end cameras…just a Sony Cybershot in movie mode: 1280×720, 29.97 frame rate, and a Canon in movie mode: 640×480 (VGA), 30 frame rate, and an iphone 640×480, 17 frame rate.
I’ve converted my files in Compressor. I’ve tried a few different Codecs listed in my Easy Setup such as Apple ProRes 422 (regular, LT, and Proxy) and the Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC). I make the sizes all VGA and make my frame rates all 30. When I put them in my multiclip viewer, there are no RT settings in my sequence, so I can’t do any editing… when I press play and try to switch to a different angle, it just stops and doesn’t make the edit. I’ve also tried doing the multiclip with different pairs of just two angles, with no luck.

Is there a way to convert a misproportioned angle to the same proportions as the rest of the angles without squishing the shot? As in, can you just leave the top and bottom black and not squish the frame and then use that in multiclip?? Thanks so much!!!
