    Justin, why so cold?

Anyway, I would just suggest you try a luma key first, with key out lighter. If it is footage, that may work if you tweak it some. If you only need a single frame like that though, just mask out what you don’t want in photoshop or something. I hope i helped a little bit at least.

I think you would just make the positions of the camera very ffar apart in a little time (fast movement) with some good interpolation. And turn on motion blur.

  • green and blue are used because after effects automatically makes those colored pixels transparent, and those are colors that are least likely to show up in places where you DO want the pixels to be OPAQUE(like the face, for example). Two of the best keying plugins out there are Keylight and Primatte Keyer.

and make sure the lighting doesn’t change, as this happened to me before, where the sunlight changed coming through the windows, and the shots had different tones. It wasn’t that difficult to correct though.

  • I’m gonna guess you’re going to animation codec from AFX, and that’s lossless. But then, when the file passes through a DVD app, it will automatically convert to MPEG-2 if not already done so, and some quality is inevitably lost on that re-encode. But as mentioned, compressor+dvd studio pro would give possibly better results than iDVD.

Maybe you could animate some simple blue and red circles with arrows on them, and have them rotate so the arrow at first points at the window, and as the circle rotates, the arrow points away from it.
