Currently, Vegasaur does not sync external events (I have added your request to my backlog).
You can try to use Close Gaps (Selected Tracks) command (don’t forget to select tracks with external events ) but this may not work (it depends on the layout of the events).
You can also delete timeline gaps as shown below using Project Auditor. All events on the timeline will be synced.

FYI, not all icons are black and white and I think they are not so bad, actually I don’t see the problem.
Vegas team changed it because users wanted to see the “new icons”, “dark interface” etc. (they wrote about it on the official forums). -

I see only one preset ? It’s faster to recreate it again, but
if you have many presets, Vegasaur’s Preset Manager can help you.
You can use trial version for free. Install Vegasaur 2.7 for Vegas 13,
export the desired presets, install version 3.0 for VP 14 and import them. -
Yes. Use Quick Properties > Placement tab (side by side + overlap options).
You can also use Transitions tab to create transitions instead of simple crossfades… -

Vegasaur 2.7 can generate one text media with 10000 keyframes instead of 10000 text objects. This might help with your problem…

You are exporting regions, use Text Wizard to export text events.

which tool did you use?
what’s the format of your clips?
what is a “strip”? is it a channel or separate audio stream (ie. your original file contains several different audio streams) ?
