Did you ever find a solution for this?!
The same thing is happening to me!! Just tried rendering a 5 minute composition of just color correction i did in After Effects. When i put it to render, AE will render about 15 – 20 frames quickly, then stop for minutes, then render the following 15 – 20 quickly, then stop and so on … and in parts of the render, the video skips back and forth.
My footage is AVCHD native, coming from a Canon HF11 and stored in a 2TB HD connected through firewire.
I don’t want to have to convert every single file i want to use in order to get after effects or media encoder or premiere to be able to render the files without skipping back and forth like you mentioned; that would not be time efficient. I tried using Dynamic Link between Premiere and AE and it just takes forever as well.
I converted my footage to an uncompressed Quicktime .mov, but my result ended up with a highly interlaced video. I just wish AE would just render .m2ts files without any problem.
If anyone has the solution for this PLEASE HELP. I’m running out of time …
THANK YOU!!
