I’m having this same issue using either the JKL keys, the spacebar or the program window playback button. Has this problem been resolved?

I found it. Its deep in the keyboard shortcuts preferences. Under “Panels/Timeline panels/ audio track height.
Not the best method but better than I had. I created the keyboard short cut shift T to expand, and shift ctrl T to collapse. However, I still need to hit the key command several time to get the track to the height I’d like.AJ VonWolfe
