I was doing this like you told me, but I think the Brightness and Contrast effect goes in the third layer, not the one, right? Or did you miss one step?

Can I send to your e-mail one sample (2mb) so you can give me pointers in something… It’s just the line illuminated is so dull and I want something shiny…

Maybe I am doing this wrong… Is there any tutorial about how highlight? Or can you show me about applying the mask, lowering the luma, et al… Because the highlight render effect is cool but maybe i am not using it properly… I want to dark more the rest and have the line real clear, not with oppacity…

Hi guys,

The client didn’t like the highlight thing, so here I am again to ask for your great help… is there anyway to have an effect that emphasize some part of my image and that way the spectator can focus on the line of the text I’m showing? I can’t show subtitles… it has to be from the image I have from the newspaper… but I want to show line by line…

Thanks for the quick response.

I’ve been rendering fully and believe me, nothing happens, I don’t know what to do. Now I’m having another trouble with the speed, I’m increasing the speed in a clip, then reversing it and the quality of the video looks crappy and it bounces from cut to cut, I mean, when it’s going on fast forward it looks okay but when it goes from that cut to the other one in reverse, it bounces and looks blurry. It has to do something with remapping?

Do you think there’s something wrong with my settings in final cut? I’m using a G5.

I’m gonna give up on editing… Now I feel like I don’t know anything about Final Cut.
