    I’m experiencing this issue too.

MXF DVCPRO-HD footage with 709 Color Management settings
then rendered out as 16 bit TGA or 10 Bit Avid DNX suffers
both a colour shift and superwhite crop when compared with the original mxf footage in Avid Nitris and waveform monitor.

What is the normal AE workflow for using video footage
with superwhites which you want retained on input and in the render?

    Project settings 709 16 Bit
    Interpret footage 709

    Thanks

Hi, here are some more details.

The 50fps photojpeg QT is playing from the internal SATA HD.
The animation is of a sphere travelling accross screen.
Activity monitor shows quicktime process is using 35% CPU.
    QT Datarate is 5.6 Mbits/s

    Dual 2 GHz Power PC
    1.5 GB Ram
    Geforce 6600LE video card
    Dell 2407 monitor

Changing display frequency from 60Hz to 75Hz
alters the appearance of the playback but it is still jerky.
Playing the animation in a HD video program onto a video monitor results in smooth playback.

    Cheers

    >>The Color Correction tools in Final Cut Pro are outstanding. I’ve been cutting an >HD broadcast series and all coloring is done with the Color Corrector, 3 Way Color >>Corrector, Broadcast Safe and Levels filter. I get absolutely outstanding results.

Are all the grading effects you mention real time
through the Kona 2 and Black Magic HD cards?
If so, are these are generated at 10 Bit quality?

    Thanks
