Yes, I’m familiar with nesting sequences, however, I’m not looking to do that. I’m looking for a keyboard shortcut to create an entirely new sequence from in and out points on the timeline. E.g. say I have 60 minutes of footage, I scrub to 00:00:10:00, set an in point, go to 00:00:20:00, set an out point. From here, rather than creating a sub clip from the marked footage, I’d like to create another sequence that appears in the project window. Then, I scrub to 00:00:25:00, set an in point, scrub to 00:00:35:00, set an out point, and create another sequence from that.
Wash, rinse, repeat so that I have something like 250 sequences from that hour of footage.
I know–it’s unorthodox.
