Looks like i solved the problem myself.

All I had to do was export the file as QT Reference Movie — not touch the dimensions, bring it into compressor and it would read it as being actually 16:9 and do it’s thing.

    So no need to panic.

Alright – just finished that HUGE song and dance deleting everything and re-installing and it’s working again (though I haven’t rebooted which hopefully wont cause it to stop working haha).

So the best advice is follow the big long apple article’s advice.

And tip for apple: WRITE A FREAKIN’ UNINSTALLER!! Even just some bloody applescript will do! This is rediculous!

Well I am having the same troubles, and tried just uninstalling compressor… but looks like I may have to go ahead and use those long instructions…

I’ve been having trouble with Soundtrack lately too – so perhaps I should just uninstall everything, in which case is there instructions for that too?

Thanks Peter – that’s exactly what I needed. I actually got an email from Boris Support yesterday which solved the problem.

Thanks for the speedy response guys. Look slike that latest QT update really crippled… well just about everything! haha.
