Bob and Jeremy,

Forgive me. I am brand new to Creative Cow. Makes sense that I should post the solution even if its a simple one.

I just shut down the computer (not a restart)
Made sure all cables were plugged in properly
Turned the DVD player ON, although I’m not sure if that mattered.
When I turned the computer back on everything worked properly.

My guess is that the problem was caused by plugging the composite cable into the breakout box after the computer was already on, but I’m not sure.

Okay. I think I understand, but I do not have any decks hooked up.

I’m just trying to get video out of Final Cut to an external monitor.

I have tried setting the Kona default output to “Black” and “Hold Last Application”, but neither seems to have any effect on getting video to the monitor.

By the way if I am overcomplicating this, let me know.
