great thoughts, and Mark, this is a super powerful tool!
I think my very specific situation has to be done manually though…
My situation is for example:
Main Time line is “Episode” is an hour long.
in it a have ~50 Comps in different lengths (never overlapping and between 5-15 sec long
I want these comps to have in their name, the TimeCode In of where they on the Main timline…
so for example
Comp1_00115
Comp2_00337
ETC…

This is m situation right now… I am interested in getting a monitor! I need one…
I guess Im asking; Am I right? A monitor and a card for the video signal? (my card GTX970, wont allow a 3rd monitor)

Hi Dave.
As I wrote in the subject, Vanishing point.
A fairly old-school photoshop to ae trick to give a 3d like effect to a suitable (plane-able) image.

And the well known parallex background and forground is another method im playing with…

im looking for some more, even general, ideas of turning simple 2d images to a more interesting and/or visually appealing…

Other than testing different blending modes. I would apply “Unmult” a free useful plugin for getting alpha channel from black…

I’ll try to play with it when i’ll get a hold of a station with the plugin, or someone who knows the plugin. I’ll update if anything comes up. For now i’ll check some online tutorial to understand the idea.
