[Place a light in front of your camera (or even at the same position) and parent it to camera. As camera moves towards exit increase intensity of this light. ]

This sounds easier than the adjustment layers option. Can you keyframe the light intensity increase?

I just thought of just do a gradient over the textures I’m using for the walls in Photoshop, going from black to transparent. But not sure it wouldn’t look too fake. Your ideas may be better. Thanks.

    Perfectly understandable.
Do you have any tutorials on Projection Man or camera mapping? Thanks.

Is the new site (https://www.thec4dvault.com) still going live today?
    Thanks.

  • [Morten Eriksen ]”The tut is about making a camera move through a car window and into an alley made with PSD layers projected on the walls and on some simple 3D details like a policetap, lamps and details one the buildings. ”

That sounds very interesting. 🙂 I think I’m getting it.
All done only with the PSD layers (stills), no video footage involved?

  • Well, excuse me if I’m being too fresh here and I don’t mean to be rude or to flame and I certainly appreciate all and any input, but I don’t like to blindly spend my hard earned money. The cmivfx site is very basic and gives very little info about the tutorial contents besides a title and a short description. Almost as if they are trying to hide something. All the other sites like Lynda and Gnomon workshop for example give a full list of chapters, duration of each DVd etc so you can have an idea of what you’re spending your money on and if the content is what you are looking for. Besides that, the fact cmivfx old DVDs don’t have a very good reputation with reviews mentioning rushed through tutorials, superficial content and foreign instructors with hard to understand accents don’t really inspire confidence to buy blindly.

Thanks guys. So it’s enough to learn even for somebody new to C4D?
Also, is the projection man chapter’s project a moving 3D matte painting?
I was talking to somebody who told me the chapter in Lynda.com’s C4D R10 tutorial dedicated to camera projection teaches you how to add two 3D cubes to a still picture. If that’s true, pretty useless camera projection chapter if you ask me.

  • I also wanted to ask if the chapter about project Man is a step by step tutorial from start to a finished 3D matte painting or camera projection? Thanks again.

Thanks for the info. There’s just one chapter about projection man? How long is it? Is it enough to learn how to do 3D matte painting with projection man?
But I just heard another turn down about cmivfx. I heard you don’t get a actually DVD and you can only watch it online, not even download it. I mean you pay for it and you don’t own it? What happen to people who’s on slower connection or if you need the tutorials when you’re out on your laptop? This is very bad if indeed true.

They don’t seem to be all free. The ones with a red square and a M inside are for paying members only it seems as I can’t click them to watch. Unless I’m doing something wrong. I even registered for a free account and still can’t watch them.
There are only 3 Projection Man free ones and I had seen them already but they are almost just demos, not much teaching. But thanks anyways for trying to help.

I heard the CMiVFX one is not very good and actually doesn’t have a lot of Projection Man. It seems they started making it before Projection Man was released and then just threw in some Projection Man later on before they released it. This is what I heard. Have you watched it?

The Cineversity seems like a good source but I find their sign up fee ridiculous compared to other sites. Besides all I want to learn is Projection Man, not animation and the whole Cinema 4D, so paying that much for just Projection Man doesn’t seem like a good idea. I would rather give that money to somebody for a live class.
