It happens with video-footage, because that is accelerated with GPU. I bet you use a h264 or h265 codec for the videofiles. Mind you that .mp4 files use these codecs.
Do you have any third party codecs installed?
You will find the GPU RAM settings under, Preferences –> Preview. There is a GPU-Information button. Try to have 1/3 of RAM free for other GPU-related tasks. Dont use maximum.

September 28, 2022 at 11:49 am in reply to: After Effects Issue – Please HelpThis sounds like a GPU related problem.
Do you use the Mercury-Engine in Adobe?
Does the problem occur everytime or after a while of using AE?
What is connected to your GPU and how?
How much RAM (from the GPU) is dedicated for AE usage?

Thanks for info,
here is another question: “You can try to set both your systems to a equal color space and adjust Quicktime and AE accordingly”
How can I do this or where.
Why this issue is not mentioned anywhere.
How stupid that you cant use QT DV Movies on both platforms, but that makes me understand, why people are using uncompressed Formats.
My Project has 530 Clips, to change every clip into TGA sequences would result in a horrible workflow. If I had known this before…Why this cant be compatible. Why Mac and PC uses different gamma values? How stupid is this. What a waste of time. AAAAhhh
Anyway thanx for the info
