Instead I looked further into AE 8’s new per-character 3D capability…it is quite impressive.

and a Q:
Does just having the plugins loaded make AE run under emulation?
Or is it only when you actually USE a plugin on a layer?

Is there anyway to tell if AE is cunrrently running under emulation, rather than native?

All trapcode plugins are excellent and not redundant with what AE can offer.

Re:Vision still has the best morphing and retiming software out there, on par with what very expensive systems can do, or better.

Knoll Light factory is always good also.

After Effects has a built in tracker, under the animation menu.
And you would want to key out the green screen using Keylight, also included with AE.
For the white tracking marks, use a mask and set it to subract.

hardware wise, yes.
Software wise no.

I really wish Adobe would develop pro users needs to match what a flame can do:
better color corrector
better tracker
node based compositng, not just stack
3D text

I know 3rd party devlopers handle some of these, but it is a little klunky
