If you went to this page:
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home
And clicked “Add a site…” and entered the new information for your new domain name and went through the steps to verify this new domain name and it’s still not working – I’m not sure what the answer could be =\ -

If your domain name as changed you’ll need to use the new domain name in the Google webmaster tools and verify that domain name. If the domain name you are trying to verify doesn’t match what it actually is – the process will not work.
