    hi,

    This is a huge probelm for about two months. I want to verify my website https://www.beyondtheveilireland.com and have used the metatags in the index:

    <head>
    <meta http-equiv=”Content-Type” content=”text/html; charset=iso-8859-1″/>
    Wedding Video from Beyond The Veil Wedding Films, Wedding Videos and Wedding DVDs in Ireland
    <meta name=”google-site-verification” content=”G4hn5f2vZNrUovjj_jIEscvMG3ZoFShVhn_WNH62e08″ />

    but it just soesnt work. it says after every failed verification the website has the wrong content.
    or ill try the html method but it says it cant find even though when i preview the verification it says the code is there.

    I’ve contacted the google webmaster forum but havent had an adequate response. im losing patience.
    a possibility i havent thought much of is that the domain name has be changed since i’ve started my website. i am verifying with the new name. this should not matter?

    anyhow please could someone help.

    [tim gannon] “the domain name has be changed”

    If your domain name as changed you’ll need to use the new domain name in the Google webmaster tools and verify that domain name. If the domain name you are trying to verify doesn’t match what it actually is – the process will not work.

    If you went to this page:
    https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home
    And clicked “Add a site…” and entered the new information for your new domain name and went through the steps to verify this new domain name and it’s still not working – I’m not sure what the answer could be =\
